EDIL T.T. - Tile-Beam Connection

EDIL T.T. - Tile-Beam Connection

It is a ‘ductile’ system, designed for connecting roof tiles to edge beams. Its use prevents the roof from losing its support from the beam without altering the existing static structure.
It essentially consists of steel tubes that are suitably assembled and shaped at the ends, where holes are made for fastenings.
The system has been designed so that, in the event of an earthquake, (large) relative translations between the elements are allowed.
The use of the Edil T.T. system also limits the actions transmitted to the structures through the plasticisation of the external curved elements.
The inclination of the ends can be varied according to the geometry of the elements to be connected.

Applicationes

The EDILT.T. restraint system is designed for tile-beam connections.
ne end is fixed to the upper surface of the beam and the other end to the side of the tile using dowels.
Once installed, the connection is easy to inspect and access for any maintenance work.

The EDIL T.T. restraint system is made of common steels as specified by NTC 2008.
It can be supplied electrolytically cold galvanised (white galvanising) or painted.
